Hi guys.
Hoping to be able to get some advise regarding discovery 2 td5 ACE system.
I have a 1999 td5 that I bought a few months ago. Everything has been fine with it and no warning lights on. Ace system has had a tiny leak around the block for the last few years by the looks of the mot history but only uses a very small amount of fluid and not had warning lights on. However I recently had to do a patch of welding to the drivers side sill. I disconnected the battery and all went well but since then the ACE warning light, orange not red had been on. Looking into the ace system I didn't know there was a accelerometer on the drivers side sill. Do you think this could be the problem? Would the welding have damaged the accelerometer?
