Hi guys and gals, finally burst 3 of my 22" rims and I've got some disco 2 wheels with 18" Tyres, just wondering if they will fit or what other options I have for wheels.
No just for general useOoh good question, is it for road use or offroading?
No worries, mines is a 2003 td6, but I suppose your right I will just give it a tryDisco 2 or 3 wheels, disco 3 should fit provided they will clear the brakes depending on what model l322, disco 2 wheels the center hole will be to small to go over the hub flange, but only way to find out is try umm.
Sus,it out ,die grinder and red grease, the only difference is the wheel nuts but I had both sizes, there isn't that much you need to buff off the rim,so good bye garbage 22"stormer,rims hello factory fit wheels,I will post a picture when am done, cheers folksDisco 2 or 3 wheels, disco 3 should fit provided they will clear the brakes depending on what model l322, disco 2 wheels the center hole will be to small to go over the hub flange, but only way to find out is try umm.
Not to mention the risk of being off centre. The wheels use the hub part to locate and support the rim you can not grind the hub flange of and make them fit it will put the load in the wrong places and could cause problems
That must be one hell of a lathe to swing a wheel over the bedDon't panic,I put the wheel in my lathe and took a sklif off it and tidied the hub up with a die grinder with one of those handy flappy barrel disks that attaches to the grinder, done my measurements and they're all fine, and then went for a drive,my god what a difference in a car,the 22" wheels were on it when I got the car and other than they look good they do absolutely nothing for your comfort.
