Good evening all,

I am looking to get an accurate (ish) value of my Discovery 2 TD5 on a 54 plate. Low mileage 75,000, one previous owner before me, leather seats which are in mint condition and a full powder coated roof rack and rear ladder. Few minor scratches consistent with vehicle age.

Could anyone on here give me a rough idea of what I could expect to get if sold.

Thanks so much for any help.

About 9 months MOT and some history

I sold a disco in the summer

2004 pursuit, quite basic, electric windows and a/c not much else. Coil spring conversion, 98000 miles, chassis was solid, part history and 10months MOT. Good tyres and very good bodywork. I got £4100 asked £4500. What trim level is yours?

Is ignition barrel sorted now? You really want everything working before sale.

What you looking at to replace it?

Yeah. Everything is fixed and running well. Just fancy a change. Possibly a 110. Need £4K so was hoping to get somewhere near that.

You can see Disco Td5's on the forecourt at £7.5k. I don't know if they sell for that mind. Regarding my 04 plate Auto DiscoTd5 I am now into £7k territory trying to make it "right", 4K for the Disco, £3k on repairs. New pump ready to fit, getting rid of the diesel tank whine (I hope), injector harness and new injector seals, then hopefully the spending will end. I can find my way to Paddock's at Matlock with my eyes shut. If I were to sell it, I imagine £5k would be unattainable never mind the £7k it has cost me.

For a mint ES or Landmark with a REALLY solid chassis, sound leak free engine, good leather, non-floppy head lining, working air con, seats, sunroofs, windows etc you could reasonably ask £6K if you don't mind waiting. I was looking at dealers asking more than £7K for cars nothing like that good. Genuinely excellent D2s are like hen's teeth and prices are generally low because most D2s on the market need a lot of money spending on them.

Make sure you really want to sell as you may be disappointed.

Try a 110 and see if you like it, but you will find it less comfortable and noisier, and if not same engine, slower.

Then I think about mine.

118,000 miles
ES
SLS
ACE
FFCDL
Solid chassis but needs steering box

I bet I would get offered sod all for it

Iv been offers 2750 for ours I'm in no rush it is the ES premium with rear air con how rare is that !!!! Also solid needs nothing as iv done it all if it snows I will park it in the road with a 3500 price tag
