Evening all,

Just bought a disco 2 and the locking wheel nut is missing, anyone know how I find out the code so I can buy a new one?

Cheers Graham

Buy any of them, file down one of the lugs - and you have a universal key. Then remove all the locking nuts, throw them away, and replace with ordinary nuts. Be Honest - who is going to steal the alloys off an 8/10/12 year old Disco? Just one more thing to go wrong in the future. Ditch 'em now!:eek:

That's one way around it, I suppose.

Where have you looked for the key? It should be with the wheelbrace in the flat wallet stowed in the pocket on the rear tailgate.

You should be able to get that information from your LR main stealer. You will have to provide proof of ownership but there should be no charge (get the EKA code while you're at it).

Once you have the code for the key, you can buy them for about 15 quid on ebay.

Nut or removal tool?
You will find the code on the tool u have to remove the locking wheel nut, also it will be on an information card in the owners hand book if u have one, also L R will have the code on your disco's data base so see you local main dealer. So take your pick.

Just checked the book pack and the security card has nothing written on it for the locking wheel nut maybe fitted after purchase, checked everywhere in the car and the bag with the jacking handles etc got the cap removal tool. Will try the dealer but looks like I'll end up doing the above as beneagles suggests
Cheers

Trying looking carefully on the nuts, mine have the security key letter stamped into them, - i assume this is to aid the thieffs in getting the right key!
