Dear All,

On the BCU's one side there is a white sticker writing part number and etc. Also there is a code 255/19

Does this mean the year of manufacture is 2019?

Thank you in advance...

They stopped making Disco 2s in 2004 odd, dunno if they would be still making them in 2019!

I was only thinking maybe had a replacement BCU manufactured in 2019 ? I know they use what week of the year stuff was made, the 19 could be the week in the year it was made but how you decipher the year from the rest who knows, if indeed it is a date code at all.

It does however! Give you a code to where that BCU is going around the world??

I am having issues with BCU, fob does not re mobilise the d2 td5. Original EKA from dealer does not work. I checked the BCU and in the label it is 145/11. There is also a delivery paper sticked on bcu mentioning the serial and info of this item. It has a date on year 2011. My d2 is 2001 therefore I think it had a BCU change in the past and no EKA info found belongs to it too.

I received a new used BCU to fix the issue. the new used BCU has 255/19 code on the label.
It is interesting really if it is the manufacture date.

FYI new bcu doesn’t solve the problem though…

Maybe because not the BCU is the problem... how did you end up with the conclusion that if the fob dorent work the BCU is at fault?

Yes may be BCU is not the problem. We did not end up yet with a conclusion. Trying to find out the reasons.

EKA code is also not known.
