Hi, I'm new to the forum, so thank you in advance for any help!

I have a 2003 Discovery 2 which has run great for the last 4 years. Annoyingly it has a loud-ish rattle/vibration when idle, it's mainly heard around the passenger airbag area/ in the passenger footwell. It usually disappears when the car is warmer or when it is revved. I removed the acoustic engine cover which I thought solved the problem but a week later even with the cover still off the rattle returned!!

I don't know if it is linked but it has also started vibrating, mainly through the wheel but also sometimes through the body of the car when reaching 70 on the motorway. If you push it to around 75 the vibration reduces a little but is still there. Sometimes it is so minimal it's barely noticeable, other times it's shaking so much the ride is awful! Seems to be worse when steering a "motorway bend" at cruisinf speed. Propshaft UJs wheel bearings, tyres all been checked, rear donut has v slight crack which even the dealership said wouldn't be worth changing yet. Sometimes the steering feels a bit "wobbly" and I have to drive a rough road every day. Any ideas?! Thanks in advance!

Hi, for the rattle at idle see the attached file, worth a check

LOL. Good old cable ties. There's a fair bit of crap held together with cable ties on my LR D2. It's cheap and more often than not, it does the job. Proper ansome init!
