I have a 97 discovery 1. The brake rotors and pads have been recently changed to Ferodo brand rotor and pads. The problem is when the brakes heat up, they squeak very loudly. My mechanic has said that possibly because the rotors and pads aren't the original parts that everything isn't aligning properly.
The squeaking can get very loud that even the passersby stare.

Any suggestions on how to get it to stop squeaking?

Copaslip ... copper grease. A small smear on the backs of the brake pads should do.

By small smear I mean it .. no blobs just a small amount wiped over the area where the piston touches, wipe excess off.
