Hello

I have a 3.9 v8 1996 left hand drive. will the spider immobiliser box be behind the radio on this year ?

No.
Its lower therefore and in a more secure place.

Is it still behimd the centre of the dash area though ?

It was deep behind the radio on my D1 300tdi. Ahh the joy I had taking that out
