M m500dpp Active Member May 13, 2012 #1 If I disconnect the battery on my Disco 2 will it screw up the alarm/immobilisor and will it need to be reset? If this is the case will I be better keeping a 12v supply on at all times to avoid any issues?

thought it was mine! New Member May 13, 2012 #2 i have had no problems with mine when disconnecting battery.Just have keys ready i replaced battery at 5.30 in morning which set alarm off keys in house.

V videoman New Member May 13, 2012 #3 You will just need to recode your radio, should'nt be anything else as I have recently disconnected mine to remove airbag for cruise control fitting.

sierrafery Well-Known Member May 13, 2012 #4 as long as the car is unlocked u can disconnect it without fear(u'll need just the radio code as said above...unless u retrofitted a codeless one)
