When first start car wipers do not work, hold stick down they work let go and they do not go back to rest.leave for 2mins antd they start working i:doh:tseems they have to warm up first.help,

sounds like the park switch on the motor is faulty to me

Mine had no problem starting, but the wipers stopped anywhere they liked.
I took the mechanism off, took the cam housing apart (drilled the 'rivets' out), and cleaned the steel cam with fine emery (even though it looked clean, it was no good electrically). Drilled and tapped where the rivets were and reassembled- it's been absolutely fine since. Shouldn't take more than 2 to 3 hours, even if you've not taken one out before.

know rectified problem, was control switch,

Hi. I have same issue with mine, i have to hold down for a while, before intermediate or constand will work. What was 'control switch'??
