hi just rebuilding the v8 this week end.
fitting the big end shells and torqing them up.
in the workshop manuel it states to torq up to the required value, then turn 80 degrees is this correct as it seems rather tight to turn another 80.
is this a full 80 degrees full from the valued torq.
the engine turns over nicley by hand though.

15ft lb (20nm) then 80 degrees is what it says in RAVE. You have got new bolts haven't you? Doesn't say that you need them in RAVE, but I think all stretch fit bolts should be renewed as a matter of course.
