my disco has rather vague steering. im fairly certain its the steering shaft uj. ive spotted a company advertise one for 37 quid plus vat etc..
not genuine though.
any one know a cheaper place. manchester/north west area would be ideal. or mail order?
any advice please?

edit.
ive just found paddocks site. they do the lower uj,s for 11 and 26 quid plus vat. depending on the model yr i assume.

just a thought, when the steering uj's go you also get a lot of excessive play.
does the steering feel stiff in any way. any vibration. is the power steering fluid clean ! just checking, no point shelling out for stuff you dont need.

nope. no vibration and no stiffness, not checked the fluid. will do that tomorrow.
its just the rather vague steering. i will check the uj again though before i buy one.

also i need to check all the steering joints underneath, just in case.
