Hi. Please can someone help. What is the differance between a diesel and V8 gearbox and bell housing. I have a disco diesel engine (1991) and i have just got hold of a V8 of the same age and would like to fit the diesel in it. I am fully capeable to do the work.

seen as you stated its a 1991 i assume its a 200tdi. the only gearbox that will fit on a 200tdi engine is a 200tdi gearbox.hope this helps
