hi iam new to this i wonder if anyone has any photo`s to post on how to fit new front shocks on a disco td5 and do i need to use spring clamps

Hi m8, quite easy job, u dont need clamps...that's the best i can do...U better download a RAVE for yourself(search for that one

Step 1; introduce yourself in the new members section
Step 2; read through Busterbus' "how to" section (it's mainly for Defenders but still very useful)
Step 3; go through the common questions section
Step 4; use the search function before you get a big slating for not having done this
Step 5; develop a thick skin and then ask again.

you dont need to remove turrets for replacing springs or shockers unless you cant get top bolt out of passenger side ,expansion tank unclips to get at drivers side ,use penertrating fluid on bottom 2 x bolt per shocker, with vehicle secure on other 3 wheels and jack under chassis and one under axle undo 2 x bottom shocker bolts ,push shocker up remove jack from under axle and using vehicle bottle jack place between axle and chassis ,release abs sensor wire from its clips on brake hose and jack axle down as far as not over stretching brake hose ,spring will pullout at bottom enough to drop shocker out of after removing top bolt

fit front suspension today just finished took 3 hrs after i had to buy a new trolley jack because the seals went in the one i had job was a breaze with the new one and the advice given so thanks again to those who advised was appreciated

the oil came out where the ram enters the pump was thining of taking it into work to let a mate have a look i need two do the same with the cars bottle jack that went on me when i did the rear air bags haven`t had a lot of look with these recently do you no where to get the seals from for the cars jack
