Hi folks, I messed up disconnecting the battery on my M-reg Disco 300 Tdi without back-up. Now my original radio won't come on because I don't know the security-code on that secon-hand car. What am I to do to make it work again? Cheers,reiner.

I dont know if this will help but i had a similar problem. I had the word security come up on mine as i had put the wrong code in. I spoke to the local dealer and they put me onto a chap called the "Radio Code Man"
he gave me some advice and suggested i leave the ignition witched onto auxillary for a few hours and this should clear it. I did just that and it cleared.

I dont know if you have anything displayed or not however all is not lost if you have nothing i would suggest you contact your local dealer and ask if they know anyone who can reprogram the radio complete with new code.
The chap i spoke to charges about £10.00 for this service. again this is dependant on where you are.

Go to your local dealer with the chassis number and registration, if its the original radio they should have it on record.
