hi all,
im looking to buy a discovery 4 hse, I would like opinions from those in the know, is it worth paying the extra money to get the 2012 facelift, is the new 8 speed auto box worth the money or should I stick to an older version which is cheaper. My budget is 20k max, ideally 15-16k
what would you buy.......higher mileage belts done or lower mileage with belts needed at some point?
any other advice is greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance.
ps. if you have one to sell, hit me up.

Personally I would wait as I think the arse is dropping out of the disco 3/4 market, in fatc the large 4x4 market full stop, Ive notieced some real cheap motors over the last few months.
Wasnt long ago and a top spec D3 was at least 10k now 3/4 yrs later its half that, obviously with higher miles, but still a lot of car for the money.

well a nice warm welcome for me here then............
and yes I have come back to see the advice and I have already used some of it when viewing a disco 4.

Standar practice on any forum/facebook group in fact even down a new to you pub is to introduce yourself, we actually have a section on this site so people can do just that.

This is your typical land rover forum, if this section offends you DO NOT go into the AG section:D
I like this forum because if you act like an arse some tells you you are being an arse, which is what friends tend to do.

But for up to date D4 advice I would visit the Disco 3/4 forum, but due to the problems getting warranty cover (once the new original warranty runs out) for the snapped crank issues lots of people are walking away from the product. they seem to be buying Volvos, which says to me they werent Land rover owners in the first place, ie snowflakes of the car world
