Hello All,

First post here, and hoping some of you knowledgable Land Rover guys may be able to help with some good advice.

I have a 2010 Discovery 4 SE currently, and I am looking at picking up a reasonably priced set of front seats from an HSE in order to get the electric-seat functionality. I am under the impression it is not a difficult task to remove the old ones and then fit the new ones myself, but I've been unable to find much info/vids on the net about this.

So, before I start trying to pull my current seats out, I am wondering if someone can let me know if there is anything special I need to know about doing this or if it is particularly difficult for some reason. I was surprised that I couldn't find a YT video of anyone doing this - so maybe this means it is a piece of cake?!

Anyway, I have removed seats from various vehicles before with no troubles, but the Disco does have a few special nuts (pentagon-like allen key kind of things), and before I tear into my baby I am hoping someone who has done this before can chime in and let me know if there is anything special I need to watch out for.

Thanks very much in advance!

I may be wrong here but I don't think the biggest issue would be how to take out your present seats, but how to get the new ones to work.... don't those seats have like their own ECU that ties in with a lot of other interior electronics blah blah blah. From experience with older land rovers, you may get lucky to find the loom may already be there under the seat, but you may still have to play with some electronics. But as I said, I may just be guessing here....all the best.
