Hi,
Just been wondering about how hood discos are off road, I have a 1995 manual 300tdi 5dr. What are the low box ratios like for off roading and does the locking center diff give it an advantage over the likes of series land rovers? Thanks for the help it's much appreciated :)

1. They are brilliant.

2. Excellent

3. They are the same ability as a series in 4 wheel drive with the hubs locked.

Some would disagree with me - but I would say that in stock configuration, they are more capable than any like-for-like Jap equivalent, par example Shoguns, Pajeros, Toymotas, anything Jap basically.

In other words - very, very capable. :)

Yes have to agree with evryone ive been off roading in mine which is standard apart from ATs all round and had no problems at all, in low range it will climb over most things you will come across green laning, so go and have a blast lol
