Hi all,
Before I get shouted at for yet another tyre and wheel thread I wanted confirmation of a few things I've searched on, and to check if anyone has any words of wisdom or bargains!
I need to change the tyres on my Disco (255/55 r18) as it has 3 Goodyear Wranglers and 1 bargain bucket tyre in the front, with both on the front axle being balder than Harry Hill.
I want to downsize, so the 16" size seems to be 255/65r16? I was looking for BFG ATs, but my second choice was General Grabber ATs. I found these on my personal favourite website for £93.19 delivered a corner;
Tyre General Grabber AT 255/65 R16 109T BSW - Tyre Leader
I was also considering a set of black modular wheels, from Paddocks at £35.40 each.
6805120BKMO | 16x8 Black Modular for Discovery 2
So I wanted to check the offset of these wheels is correct for my car, though they are D2 specific, so assume they're right!
Also, I believe I read that you need better wheel nuts than paddock provide. Is this the case? If so where can I get them?
Thank you for all your help,
Alex
