help need some advise.

engine stripped ready to come out.

can any one tell me do i have to drop the sump to get the bolts which hold the drive plate to the tork convertor.
cannot get at them through the starter hole or the inspection hole at the bottom of the bell housing.
the engine is fitted with an alloy sump which forms the bottom half of the bell housing.
as any one done this with a 4.0ltr auto year 2001.

many thanks for your help:mad:

You should have two rubber bungs under the sump joint level, one each side, take those out and you can access the Torque Converter bolts.

You will have to turn the engine to bring the bolts to the openings.
