Hi All,

I have noticed a problem with my disco, its a 2003 Td5 auto. Usually running fine and dandy until last night. Seem to have lost a lot of power, still drivable but definetly lost power. There is also a lot of black smoke coming out even at low revs. It is also really loud from the exhaust. I have had a decat and the mid box removed so is loud anyway, but the pitch in noise is a hell of a lot lower and its extremely loud at low revs in a low gear.

Set off to work about an hour ago, and it struggled to get upto speed in 2nd.

A few nights ago i set off and it seemed to of misfired and spluttered in 1st or 2nd, layed off the power and back on again it was fine. This was about an hour after going through quite a large puddle of water a few times pratting about. I'm starting to think that water is playing a part to all of the above.

If anyone could shed some light on it?

Cheers

Dale

Have you checked that you haven't got the air filter wet?

what do you think he has done,****ed on it.:p:D

Got water on it after playing in puddles??

As for the booze have you looked under your car and looked at the exhaust? Perhaps a hot exhaust plunging into cold water has fractured somewhere
