Hi guys,

I bought a 99 disco 2 v8 as a weekend off road toy and it has an issue with the air suspension.......surprise surprise!

I knew about it when I bought it so just wanted to check. The drivers side drops at random. When standing, if you raise it, it does go up but drop when it feels like it on the one side.

Worth replacing or just switch to springs? Gonna be an off road toy anyway so thought about just putting a 2 or 4" lift kit on it.

Cheers

Get the suspension onto the highest setting and spray the bags with soapy water, bags are easy to change but should be done as a pair.

And the usual comment. If you're going to fix it, do it now when it involves changing bags.

If you wait about too long, the compressor will burn itself out, then the economics of repair are much worse.

Is the air suspension better for off road though?

I always thought a spring conversion would be the way to go?

I would keep the air myself but up to you,if its a seven seater there can be insurance implications going back to springs.

The back seats are coming out anyway as i am getting rid of the interior. Lovely cream leather seemed for too good to wreck!

Just gonna put a cheap grey interior in it.

I guess for ride comfort air will be best.

Plus, if you're heavily overloaded for dive gear for a long weekend, with air suspension, it won't look like it when the police go past

:lalala:

I will swap you my interior for your interior and maybe a few beer tokens.:D:D
