disco 2.5

Hi guys can some one please help. i need to change rear disc;s and pads and calipers i have been on paddocks and they do to types can some one tell me which one;s i need my disco is 200tdi jan 1994 model any info would be a great help thanks Dave:confused:
 
i just changed mine, one way to tell is to look at the bolts holding your on, one type has a standard bolt head, the other has a sort of spline head which are a bastid to get off, get in touch with them im sure they could give you more info
 
thanks for the info guys mine as the spline one;s on aswell so looks like buying the sockets to fit them i will phone up paddocks tomorrow and find out what sort they are this motor is begging to remind me of that film the money pit with tom hanks in :mad:
 
By spline, do you mean 12-point hex bolts mounting the caliper mounting bracket to the hub?

My disco 2 uses those.

them are the one,s just looking for the right sockets.

I had the same problem recently. Went to a Sealey stockist who sold me a set of 12 point sockets for around 20 quid so next time I get a similar problem I will have the right socket ready ;-)

Sealey (urgh) also sell a set of 'Universal Drive' sockets, which they claim can undo 6point hex, 12 point hex, torx etc - but I decided to get just 12 point as I figured they might have less risk of rounding off the bolts.
