The headlights on my disco are staying on. Even when i pull the relay below the dash passenger footwell they still stay on. Any suggestions ??

you are pulling the wrong relay if they still stay on

i know exactly which relay is which ! Eventually i pulled all the relays out together. Lights still stay on !!!!!!!!!!!

sounds like someone has wired them direct, or has a hidden relay somewhere.
check your switch too.

Why would someone want to wire them direct? Or put an extra relay in, for that matter?

Have the lights been wired through an alarm? I have had similair problems with other peoples home alarm instalations.

thanks everyone for the replys so far. However we have 2 discos, both commercial one P reg (mine) and 1 R reg (belongs to my old man). Both discos have developed the same fault (the R reg first) Neither car has had any work done to the wiring, but what i have noticed this week mine only seems affected when it rains??????????

what, when you wire a house alarm up the cars headlights stay on

I should have inserted the word "installation" between home and alarm. Sorry for the omission and thanks for putting me right yella. I blame it on the amount of medication that I am on at the moment (fell down an inspection pit at work and have cracked a lower vertebrae).
