Does anyone know (and I am sure someone will) if I can fit Disco 2 front seats in my Disco 1?

If have just won a pair of seats on Ebay and didn't notice that they are disco 2 until I had won them.

I hope they will fit as my drivers seat is knackered.

The early disco 1 up to around am M plate had different seat mountings.

The early ones mounted directly to the floor, where around the time they introduced electric seats they introduced some raised platforms welded to the floor.

Early disco 1 front seats are not interchangeable with later disco 1 seats.

If you have a later version (after M plate) then its possible, I don't know that, but if you have an early one then they won't fit easily.

Mine is a 1997 (R) and the seat mountings are up on the box which has storage underneath. So I have my fingers crossed.

How did this go? I'm looking at a set of Disco 2 front seats for my 1998 disco 1?
Was thie fit quite easy or was there some messing about?

I am sure the 3 door seats are narrower than the five door. I have an october 95 discovery that would just really love some leather D2 seats.
