when properly adjusted, Series vehicles brakes are adequate for the job they were designed for.IMHO
Any particular reason why you would consider the disc option.

coz the drums dont like mmud n water. - yu ask Grippa or Clivees.

If it's a mud plugger toy he's after then he can sell the lightweight to me for 100 quid and use the money saved from not having to buy the disc conversion kit to buy himself a Disco..........sorted.:)

Disc Brake conversions from Rocky Mountain for £700. At that price I can't see anyone fitting them though.

I don't use the Leather Gaiters and mine lives in mud.

One shot grease is good, EP90 used to leak out, but no problems with the One Shot.

In a perfect world gaiters will protect you swivels, and if you only ever use it on road they might, but you wont know as you won't be able to see to check them.
In the real world they are more likely to hold muddy water in, and couse more problems.

our bush telegraph system hinders me from knowing what one shot grease is. Is it a product or is it one shot of grease.

It's called 'One Shot Grease' I think Britpart make it, I just got it from Paddocks. Each container is enough for one swivel, after obviously you've let the oil out first.

One Shot grease was produced by Land Rover to replace EP90 in swivels, and reduce leaking problems.
I believe it was originally intended for vehicles with CV joints and bearings top & bottom in the swivels, but many people are using it successfully in vehicles with UJs and Railco Bushes.
