Hi guys,

Stupid question I'm afraid. I'm trying to fix the lights on a disco. How does the dipswitch stalk work? Is it pull back and release for main beam and then repeat for dip?

If that's right, is it the switch that does it or is it in the electronics somewhere. Currently it just flashes.

Thanks,

Jack

No electronics just a switch.

To flash the headlights, pull the lever partway towards the steering wheel and release. Or pull the lever fully towards the steering wheel to change headlight beams from dip to high and again to restore dip. simples :)

That's great info Discool. Thanks.

Looks like a new switch is needed.

Have look inside first, as press-on press-off switch is a simple affair so I expect the headlamp switch dip to high part works on the same principal, a roller cam and spring latching arrangement.
