Day spent wire brushing and cleaning the underside of the 110. Got carried away and wire brushed all the grot from the axles, springs, roll bars and stuff. Just wondering what to repaint them with - underseal just didn't seem right! Any suggestions on what pain tis best to use for these bits to keep them rust free?

While I'm on about paint - rubbed a small spot of corrosion down on rear quarter. It's back to the aluminium, no holes, so just needs a little prep then paint. Should I use acid etch primer as it is down to bare aluminium?

Cheers

I used hammerite on the chassis - didn't stop some stupid bitch running into the back of it.

I also used some aluminium acid wash before repainting. I can't remember it's name but I'm sure it was a hammerite product.

Im just red oxiding all my chassis and axles with chassis black on top.

I have just started doing mine with the hammered finish hammerite. Looks good but it is a bitch of a job. Takes bloody ages and it is really hard to get into the nooks and crannies so gonna get a couple of spray cans and spray the bits I cant get to with a brush.
