Hi Guys

I have 2003 110 Double Cab TD5 Defender, I am considering a difflock (rear) and would like some thoughts on which is better a KAM or ARB locker?

If anyone has suggested alternatives please share your views/experience.

trouble is people that have a kam will say there best
people that have an arb will say there best..


i have 2 arbs in the rr so there the best

Arb top notch brand and used across the world. Would be my pick if my money could stretch that far at the moment. Arb have been making them for many moons and giving they use them on all other 4x4 not just Land Rover should be a sign any issues have long been resolved

arb has a weakness which is slip ring for air pressure for operation,maxi drive is superior but costs a bit more

KAMS need the pan changing on your axle when fitted so it can be expensive if you cant do it yourself.

ARBS need airlines and compressor fitting, so can be expensive if cant do it yourself.

have you looked at Detroit truetrac?
all depends want you want them for?

you thought about the Ashcroft air locker better than an arb and its about £100 less new

Kaiser Locker from ashcroft Good reviews from the yank sites but like the detroit you cannot turn them off. But very good
