Right can anyone tell me if a discovery 300tdi front diff will fit the rear? My rear diff is completely mangled and I have a perfectly good front axle and diff that I would like to use to replace the rear diff with.

yes but you need to swap flange and remove spacer

What spacer needs removing can I not just keep the flange and put my rubber doughnut on to that

Lol depends where you are as my truck isn't going anywhere and I need to fix her over the weekend

3 bolt flange has a spacer bu8ilt on to it ,4 bolt flanges often have spacer seperate to flange ,the difference in length of shiny tube will be obvious

Ah I was hoping it might have bolted up to the propshaft

Just to let all know who left a reply. My truck is back up and running but still got a few lil bits to finish off. Looking forward to it lol
