Hi guys,

Im having problems trying to sort out me diff lock on 300tdi.
Originally it was siezed up, so followed guide on here on how to unsieze.
I had to loosen the hi lo collor to free up. Transfer box selector is fine and tested fully with 13mm spanner and wheel jacked up.
I now have full left to right and up and down movement on stick.

The problem im having though is what moves the gear linkage arm?
is it supposed to be the collor that moves it?
When i connected it all back up and tried to sellect diff lock the linkage doesnt move, cant see how the collor can move it as it just seems to push against rod . tried adjusting middle pin but still no joy.
Is the pin that rod connects to next to collor supposed to move?
collor moves but pin stays put doesnt move up or down or out and in?

Really doing my head in now as i want to put it back together but want to sort this out first really.

Ive taken a video of whats happening and will post a link soon but any help with this will be fantastic.

Thanks all

When working properley-move stick to left-pin exits housing on left about 1/2"-mine was seized solid and had to be persuaded-loads of grease once working-plus work it once a month or so to keep it moving

Ye so was mine drilled a hole in the transfer tunnel adjaecent the linkage and kept tappin it with a hammer an brass punch...plenty freeing oil though...done 2 like this
