im about to buy a 1999 disco an the mrs wants to know if we can change the dickie seat lapbelts to 3 point belts for the kids

Assuming they are side facing seats. NO you can't.

Disco II's are fitted with forward facing 6 & 7th seats with 'real' seat belts

The dickie seats were fitted to Disco 1's till 1998

Oh also if ya kids are of an age or size that they are legally required to use a seatbelt. you can't let em use the dickie seats unless all the other seats are taken, kids get priority over adults when it comes to allocating forwards facing seats. so in the even that you have to use the dicky seats ya missus will have to sit in them or older/larger children who are exempt from the child restraint laws.

This only relates to side facing seats..
