I have an issue with my central locking/alarm (neither work). It's not the fob (had that checked). All the items relating to the BCU work ok. I'm leaning towards the central locking receiver. Cant get a definitive answer from the local auto electricians one of whom said it could be the BCU. I have contacted Turner diagnostics who seem to know what they are talking about. And before you ask I don't have a nanacom or hawkeye. Any advice?

The receiver is not expensive and they fail at least once in a car's life so simply replace it and if it's not that at least you have a spare within reach... btw is the central locking working from the dash switch?

Have discovered (no pun intended) through browsing the internet that the Rover 75 utilises the exact same receiver as the Discovery.

Interested to know why you ask if the dash switch works. Is it on a different circuit?

Changed the receiver today. Everything now working fine. Evidence of water ingress on the old unit. Taped up the new unit with insulation tape to try and prevent further water problems.
