Can any of you kind souls tell me what is meant when a V8 3.5 engine for sale is described as "Detox less catalyst"? Does this mean less power, or something to avoid for whatever reason? Any info would be welcome!

Hi Tony: From my limited knowledge, Detox was a system fitted to some carb equipped vehicles to meet the demands of emission control regs within that particular market & often reduced power as a result. These systems were obviously pre catalyst.
