GREENLANE CAMPAIGN 26TH August 2012.

On Sunday 26th August (Bank Holiday) there is a demonstration by some user groups to show their strength in opposing the closure of Green Lanes in Derbyshire.

>
It would be nice if groups sort of stayed together as a group so I suggest you meet together for about 9/9.30. From there we break up into smaller groups and cruise the tarmac lanes in the vicinity
of Chapel Gate, Long Causeway and the Royche. We can all meet together at the pole on Stannage Edge, have lunch, a short rally and then a mass decent down Stannage Edge. In the afternoon we can do a few lanes before coming back home.

>It would be handy if group leaders could let me know you are coming and approximate numbers. If you are not with a group let me know and i will try to make up some rider groups. I will need some volunteers for run leaders for those groups Please let me know who you are and where you want to meet. Leaflets are available so again let me know and i will get some to you.

>This is not restricted to Trail
Bikes........provided road legal any bike, trike, quad, 4 x4, classic car, fire engine any thing.
>Just put a poster on it Saying ( Pick one
or all as appropriate)

>GREEN LANES FOR EVERYBODY..............
TRAILRIDERS HAVE RIGHTS TOO............MANAGEMENT OF THE LANES NOT PROHIBITION.

>I will probably be going up on my GSA and i will be in
the Fox House Carpark, Hathersage at about 9/9.30......see you there, and Thank you for your support.

how many are goin off here dont wanna turn up n not know anyone

who cares who,s going off here, its not about that ....... think theres going to be enough people in the area to talk too. its about supporting the green lane campaign , not landyzone. it seems its the only way forward ,as people dont seem bothered about pertitions and the like , so its time to take a stand.

well went met the chairman mike irving what a guy good turn out and lots of people backing it as well as locals

I did some lanes after the event , and didnt come across another 4x4 or trial bike on pindale , i had the whole lane to myself. :) i also spoke to some locals and they agree the lanes should stay open... spoke to a man on pindale , and he said ,his wife gets **** off bobble heads, for riding her horse:confused: .. The locals feel the same , what will happen when there all closed , and over grown , they wont be able to walk them , and then the council will have to pay a fortune to clear them.... I didnt think the peaks were very busy yesterday, did expect alot more traffic.:)
