Dear Sir / Madam
Under the Countryside and Rights of Way (CROW) Act 2000 each local highway
authority, such as Denbighshire County Council, is required to prepare a
Rights of Way Improvement Plan (RoWIP). The RoWIP will be the principal
means by which each authority will indicate its priorities and plans that
it intends to pursue to improve the rights of way network over the next 10
years.
The plan is prepared in three stages, an assessment report, a draft
improvement plan and then a final RoWIP. In preparing the plan we have been
required to assess;
The extent to which the local rights of way network meet the present
and likely future needs of the public.
The opportunities for recreational purposes made available by
countryside access.
The accessibility of the rights of way network for those with
disability or mobility problems.
The county has undertaken its assessment during 2006 7 and has now
prepared a report it is making available for public consideration and is
now available online at:

Please contact the Rights of Way Unit on the above number if you have any
difficulty accessing the online document. Hard copies will available for
public inspection at council offices in Ruthin and Denbigh and at the 8
county libraries.
But with all things like this it takes a lot of reading.
