My 2011 Puma won’t start. I’ve not used it for a week and when I turn the key, the temperature gauge flicks to maximum. The battery is at 12.8v so it’s definitely not that. I’ll see if I can borrow a friend’s OBD reader.

A quick look on Nanocom seems to indicate that the ECM is not being seen. Fault code U0100 - a quick look on various forums would indicate that this is not unique to many Puma owners.

Err…I’m not too sure what to do next.

Seems a bit too good to break it and sell it for parts…

I did have a flat battery recently so this might be connected somehow.

Now sorted. It was an issue with an auxiliary alarm system that is fitted to my Defender.
