Hello, i have just had a new clutch and flywheel fitted on my defender 90 td5 2002 and it doesn’t seem to go above 50mph, is this’s normal for a bit or is there something wrong? Thankyou

Something is wrong, not with the clutch/flywheel I don't think, but somewhere else ...
You need an engine code reader 'Nanocom' for example, to tell you.

No it's not right, did it work OK before it went in for the clutch?
If it did then take it back.
Maybe they didn't plug a sensor back in or a pipe of some sort.

He's not been back since but it sounds like as above, something wasn't put back after the clutch was replaced

l fitted new glow plugs to my TD5 and after that it ran fine but wouldn't go much above 40mph.
lt seemed like the turbo wasn't working.

l checked and l hadn't reconnected the MAP sensor on the manifold.

Once l plugged that back in all was fine.
