Hi,

Has anyone ever fitted a non return valve onto the high pressure pipe coming from the pump to the fuel pressure regulator? I've been chasing an air leak somewhere on the system and after fitting a new fuel pump/fuel filter housing/fuel pressure regulator/O rings, this is all I can think of to do next!

My thought would be to put it as close to the pump as possible to hold as much diesel in the line as possible.

It starts up first time when pointing downhill, even after all night. But point it uphill it sounds like a load of air has been drawn in even after 10 mins

Thanks in advance

Hi
This may be of some help or not! I allways parked down hill and had no problems. To carry out some work on the Disco TD5 parked up hill for a week. Had a bit of a problem starting but she did start, then cut out (several problems later she did start). One thing I tried was the self bleed and this produced a fuel leak where one of the fuel pipes had worn away above the fuel tank, before everything was dry no sign of a leak. If you have not it might be worth doing a self bleed.
