Hi there. I got my landy a while ago now and since having it back from the mechanics the after market stereo has died and now no stereo will work in the truck. I think its the power line but can't be sure. anyone have any ideas on what it could be and how to fix it?

Thaks

What did the garage do to it?
Have you checked the fuses?
Do you have a multi-meter?

The garage just made safe some wires by isolating them. that shouldn't of done anything. All the fuses are checked annnddd I have an electrical testing kit and noo power is going to it... :(

So is there power arriving at the fuse ? have you measured in both sides of the fuse holder to earth ? Traced the cable back into the loom to find out where it is fed from ?

trying to.....

Did you test the power both with the ignition on AND off. You should have one permanent live feed for the memory and one switched live. At a guess you may have lost only one of the two.

Silly question but why not take it back to them? You shouldn't be having to sort the problem they have obviously caused..

That said, does your after market stereo have a fuse in the back of it?
You might want to tug it out and make sure that whilst they where pulling and tugging, it hasn't pulled any wires out the back.
