Could some one please tell me if the black light surrounds with the three lumps are from a td5 or did they actually exist on the tdi model aswell aswell.... will upload an image shortly to help explain...

The above item says upto 1996... I have seen a 1998 tdi but that models light surrounds has the 3 bumps as seen on the td5 ???

Is the latter purely from a Td5 onwards??? Are these the wrong surrounds on a tdi ??

they look to me to be upto and including 200tdi ,300s and later use indicator and side light lamps that dont have removable lens and 2 screw fastening with larger hole needed so earlier surround would need holes enlarging to fit 300 onward lamps

think the ones with the vents on are td5 but the ones on fleabay link are 200tdi and early 300tdi as james says if you have early lamps the link ones should be ok but if they are the later ones need to enlarge holes .
have done a couple on my 87 90 ti is not easy as the fixing pk holes are slightly off and can get in trouble with the drill slipping into the original holes . hope this helps

Thanks for the help... I am not trying to fit them... its just that I have seen a tdi with the vented/raised bumps on and I wanted to know if these surrounds have come off a Td5 or could be original. Apologies for not asking a consise question.

no problem dont ask ,dont get to learn

think the main reason for the vents is the horns are sited behind them
