Hi, I have been asked by a friend if I can find out whether it her Defender has any particular value as she is considering restoring it. She used the car when she worked for the MOD in Lagos and imported it to the UK in 2001 when she returned home. It is a 1987 110, left hand drive, originally a diesel but now fitted with a Rover V8 (professionally fitted I think). It is currently a non runner but looks fairly solid .I can attach photos if someone can explain how I do this? I understand it will not be particularly valuable but any information on this model would be of interest to her, thanks

Copy paste or drag n drop seems to work for most.

LHD may pull down value a little, but at the end of the day its the overall mechanical condition and specially chassis/bulkhead condition.

Some peeps would be happy to live with LHD, but parts are plentyful to convert.

I don't think it will have any special value.
It is likely to be in a better 'original' condition than other 110's that have been in the UK all their life so may attract a slightly higher price.
Would possibly be a good project for someone wanting to travel accross LHD territory

Hi, thanks for the replies.I'll ask about the aircon out of interest.
I know that it does have some sort of bulletproof screen fitted due to the situation over there during the cars early days.
Hopefully no longer required...

Good morning, thanks for the comments received so far. If the lady were to decide to sell the car and presuming that the underside is not in a mess can
anyone suggest a a value if it were to go up for sale? I appreciate it is a difficult one to judge from pictures alone but a ball park figure would at least be a starting point.
Thanks, Dean

It's a One Ten, not a Defender.
LHD, ex utility vehicle by the look of it, tatty, and has a flat tyre. Quite thirsty with the V8 too.
So I would think be reasonable in your (her) expectations.
Not certain, but that could be one of the models that can be exported to the USA, so might be worth looking into that.

The change of engine I think puts a big no on that idea.
But if the engine number was correct on the paperwork it could probably go to some European country's
