Ok time for the first newbie question :)
I have been out test driving a couple of fenders
The clutch pedal on both seems to be really stiff
Question - are they all really stiff?
Do you need a left leg like Arnold schwarzenegger?
Oh boy this is a steep learning curve :D

Funnily enough this is not something I have ever given any thought to in all my years of LR ownership. Even my wife (who is a petite 5ft 6in and a very irregular LR driver) has never complained about the clutch in any of my LR's.
This question comes up from time to time and indeed it isn't a difficult job to fit a remove servo on the clutch system but it has never been anything that I have given any thought to. Is it REALLY that bad or do you just find it slightly heaver than a normal car?

It's only abit stiffer than a normal car, to be expected! I hate modern cars! Brakes are awful!
I wouldn't do anything about it, I just became aware when I started driving the works van!

Mine went a hell of alot lighter when I changed my clutch, fork and greased all of the pivots!

Thanks for the replies :)
The answer is yep much stiffer than a normal car
May have just been unlucky, but......
I plan to try out a good few before I buy
But this is the only thing that has really stuck out as abnormal
I must admit that I much prefer th pedal layout on a td5
Didn't have to keep searching for the accelerator lol
Thanks again!

Give it a week or two and you get used to it. Greased all my pivots and the splines the release bearing slides on when the engine was out and it made a slight difference.

After driving mercedes 814's for 13 years my landy clutch feels light as a feather.:p

There is a mod to lighten 200 / 300 Tdi clutches, fitting a TD5 coil spring instead of the strait spring is all that's needed. I've not done it myself but it was in LRO a while back.
