Help!
After removing the five bolts holding the disc to the hub I expected them to fall apart, however, they didn’t. It looks like the inner bearing housing is stopping it. Can anyone help or do I just keep hitting it with a big hammer? It’s a 1990 Defender with axles from a 2000 Defender.

never hit hub only disc ,hub will get damaged if you do ,just hold hub up so one half of disc is raised off the ground and hit disc ,then rotate and do other side repeat till it comes off

Yes, and it works best with a lump hammer. My 24oz claw hammer made no difference at all, so I shifted mine with a lump hammer. Clean the rust off the hub and put a bit of grease on to allow the bolts to squeeze the new one on easily.
