The wife took the defender out last night and it came home on a big wagon.
She says it just cut out and wouldn't start again, I had a look to see if anything was obvious but couldn't see anything so tried starting it up.
It started but ran very rough and there is a horrible screeching sound coming from somewhere, sounds metallic, like a bearing has gone or something.
Any suggestions where I can start to diagnose the problem.
It's a 1994 300 tdi 90.
Could it be anything to do with the injector pump?
