Hi all ..Mike newbie from Durban South Africa .
My landy developed a bad shudder that starts at 105kmh to 120kmh.
I swopped the tyres front to back..balancing and alignment but it's the same albeit at a slightly different start and finish .
On my 2nd set of BF's from 2006.
Odometer is on 295 000km.
Steering wheel shudders violently as does the vehicle ..town driving up to 80kmh is no problem.
My regular mechanic after a while suggested a flat spot as I had not driven it for several months ?
The tyre experts said no flat spot was found .
What next should I be looking at ?
Thanks
Regards
Mike

If you properly checked wheel balancing and the tyres have been checked for damage then check:
Panhard rod bushes
Swivel bushes or bearings (not sure which you will have on your swivels)
worn steering joints

I had this Turned out to be a worn swivel bearing. Jack the car up and check for up and down movement of the wheels

As above, mine would start to judder through the steering at over about 60mph

Turned out to be the swivel bearings needed adjusting, there was no preload on them when thy the garage checked.

Also check your steering damper and front shocks
