hi i am going to change my defender from having windows in the back to having a hard top preferably with skylights if anyone wants to swap or are selling a hardtop then post on here i am interested.

Just a quicky mate - why you thinking of doing that?!?! Nice to have the view at junctions with the windows to be honest.

ye but i drive it i dont sit in the bak so i dont get to look out of the bak windows.

it's a bastard to check your blindspot in a hardtop. Easy enough to lean out of the drivers side window (if it's open), but you've got no chance on the nearside. I would prefer windows on my 90 in the back to the van style hard top. Where are you?

One other thing of concern is that you might have to start insuring your vehicle as a van instead of a car if you get rid of the windows in the back!

yep with a lot of insurers it becomes a van,id check first.and no rear windows makes junctions more difficult. you need to get square on then you get pricks in normal cars sneaking down the side of you cause they cant work out where your goin even with your indicaters on
