been lookin at a new defender seen a pickup 90 with the 3.5l v8 what is this engine like anygood, ive had the 200 300 and td5 before and found em all good just dont see many petrols wounderd if there was a problem with them or they not very good thanks all

I got one and I love it........
Makes an awesome noise

Need to visit petrol stations quite a lot tho......

They don't like water and as said fuel consumption is abysmal.

I used the 90 everyday to get to work during the snow and was filing up every day won't do that again in a hurry. I'm now researching lpg conversions kits, pro & cons.

I'm lucky really,as it's only a toy. Mind you my daily drive is also a V8,but that actually manages 16mpg......LOL
