Hi guys

Just looking for some advice on the wiring looms, I have put a 300tdi disco engine in a defender 200tdi with its wiring looms (chassis, dash/Fuse board etc).

The battery connects to the starter motor and then the wires go to alternator/fuse board? Then off to the appropriate places etc? Just trying to get power to the dash.

I might have to get an auto electrician when it comes to adding new connectors from engine to existing as it's not a straight connection being 2 different sets off wiring.

Im not sure on what you have but as a general rule the battery positiveis connected direct to the starter solenoid and another wire goes from the same solenoid connection to the alternator, then in your case I assume another wire goes from the same solenoid connection to the underbonnet/underseat fusebox which feeds the whole truck?

Yeah Ive done that, just my dash display (speedo, fuel, warning lights) connectors have been cut and there no corresponding wires in the loom to see where they attach too, does the display wiring get connected to the fuses or some were else?
