hi everybody!
I have a defender 2,5 td .... my quedtion is that where can i find he wire which connect the handbrake switch?it comes from the dashbord?

It should be a White/Yellow from the handbrake to the lamp, which switches to earth, and it could be anywhere underneath ;);)

The wire to the switch wasn't always fitted (my 90 never had it from new) but it should be in the dash harness. Look for the white/yellow wire in the multi-way plugs near the brake servo/clutch pedal. If necessary, run a new wire from there down along the gearbox and through the back of the handbrake lever. Mine didn't have a switch either, so rather than bodge something up I ended up replacing it with a take-off part from a much newer Defender.

I think my def is the same....but i would like to have the option if it is not very dificult to install,i have no switch atached near the handbake....i place an order for it,because that i have to find the wire if it exist

Thanks for answeres!!

If you have no switch at the lever, it's likely that the wire isn't there either. Easy enought though to run a new one alongside the other wires in that area.
I did this and also wired a 'bonnet open' warning light, using a spare door switch and wired to the spare warning light (with a tilted truck cab) on the instrument cluster.
